day 30 - el fin

I forgot to mention yesterday that I met a lady at my church who works at my job and her department is moving to our suite soon. Should be fun!

We got a ton of mail from over the holiday weekend but it could have (and has) been a lot worse so there's that. We didn't have much other work so everyone was able to lend a hand in opening things. (Oh, I'm on lunch right now if you didn't figure that out.) So today's going fairly smoothly for being the first day back after a 4-day weekend.

I want more sleep :)

day 29 - go me!

I am now officially a member of my church :) I think that I had mentioned that I was going to new member classes, I don't remember. But now it's official. They spelled my name wrong on the screen though, haha.

I don't want to go to work tomorrow... even a 4-day weekend is not long enough =P

day 28 - chomp!

Hear that? It's the sound of the Florida Gators whoopin' up on some FSU Seminoles. YEAH! Go Tebow :)

Other than that, I slept for like 13 hours and it was amazing. Now I want some food!!!

day 27 - cheater cheater pumpkin eater

What? I had pumpkin pie this weekend.

So it's 2:36am which means I lost again. It takes a lot of talent to lose Nablo twice in one year. I have skillz.

Thanksgiving was great. Lots of great food and great people. I had fun and wish I didn't have to come back for like a month haha. But I did and went to my friend's birthday party and that was pretty cool too.

I am really ridiculously tired and am going to sleep for the next bagrillion hours :)

day 26 - turkey time!!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving :) Today I am going to the same place I went last year, and probably eating a lot of the same food as last year, and hoping to have at least the same fun as last year :D I baked my cookies last night and they are good and they were a success last year so they better be all gone at the end of tomorrow. (I am staying overnight.)

I am already starving but like the past 3 days I've been randomly waking up with this hollow feeling like I'm super hungry. I'm not sure why but I'll sure fill that hole today! YUM!!!

day 25 - freedom!!!

Our boss let us out of work at 3:30 today... yay!

I didn't bake the cookies yet but I will tonight. I kinda don't feel like it.

I am not sure what happened to the laundry room in the building next door... they're doing construction or something. Lame.

day 24 - cookies

Today was really bad. Nothing in particular happened, just was in one of my moods.

But tonight I am baking cookies and cookies make everything better. :)

day 23 - dialated pupils

I just realized my post yesterday sounds funny - "we went to McDonalds and played ultimate frisbee" - we did not play ultimate AT McDonalds, haha, we went to the church gym. Well actually we tried to go to a park but it was too windy.

Today was my eye doctor appointment and apparently my eyes are very healthy. I picked out new frames and they should be ready in 1-2 weeks. Yay! I also went to the new Publix that just opened near my house. Double yay! :)

day 22 - your face

This post has nothing to do with your face.

I went to church this morning and we took a spiritual gifts test. (By "we" I mean the new member class I'm part of. We are joining officially next Sunday.) Unsurprisingly, my top 3 were music, exhortation, and hospitality. I actually had a five-way tie for 4th place, only half of which made sense. That test was weird, not gonna lie. After church we (this "we" is myself and the guys) went to McDonalds and played ultimate frisbee. It was fun.

I tried to go to the fitness center and it didn't work. Long story, haha.

I don't want to go to work tomorrow!!!!! But at least I only have to work 3 days. :)

day 20 - i lost

It is November 21. Crap.

EDIT: Screw it, I'm still awake, and maybe it's no longer technically the 20th, but my day is still happening, and if someone wants to think I lost then they can decide that but I'm not letting one stupid hour mess up my entire month on a freakin' technicality.

So yeah, I am really glad this week at work is over. All my coworkers got on my nerves. I only have to deal with my job and the people there for 3 days next week, so that's stinkin' awesome.

I'm probably going to forget to blog while I'm out of town on Thanksgiving, though I will technically have ample time on either day before leaving and after returning to think of it.

It's 1:07 AM, by the way.

I don't know, maybe if my life wasn't so dreadfully boring, and maybe if I felt like getting personal about my ~feeeelings~ in this blog, I'd have more to say. This is a stupid post and I don't care.

day 19 - gross

Sadly, the most exciting part of my day thus far has been unclogging the EPIC amount of... cloggage... from my bathtub drain. Work totally sucked today. However I'm about to go to Bible study so I'm pretty excited about that!

day 18 - stuff and things

My appointment went well. It wasn't awkward at all, so that's good. Interesting: my doctor's initials are P.A.P. It's like she was destined for gynecology! =P

To violate my own "I don't get personal in here" rule... I've long suspected that I have PMDD. I discussed this with the doctor and she prescribed me 3 months worth of Yaz to see if that helps. So I am relieved about the possibility of getting better from that.

Other than that, not a whole lot going on. Went to youth group, played ultimate frisbee and went to Taco Bell... normal Wednesday night, basically :)

I am so, so, SO glad that next week I only have to work three days!!! :D

day 17 - almost forgot

day 16 - what to do...

I've spent today making an extensive list of things I need to do but won't have time. Hence why I am blogging now from my phone. Oye!

OK, definitely doing half of it tomorrow since it just took me an hour and a half to find my insurance card. I just scoured like my entire apartment. Now that I've inhaled a metric ton of dust, my allergies are going crazy! Sigh.

day 15 - doing nothing

Sundays were designed for doing nothing, and I am doing a whole lot of it! Well, ok, so I went to church and shopping, but other than that... time to relax. :) Gonna watch some more episodes of The Office now!

day 14 - what!?

I woke up this morning with a huge headache... it gradually got worse and I ended up throwing up!!! I feel better now though. My head still sorta hurts but whatever.

I went to help do something at church this morning, and when I got there they were already done. It was supposed to start at 8 and I got there at 7:59. Um. But the youth pastor still bought us Denny's :) We played ultimate frisbee after that but I didn't play the whole time due to (see above).

I am going to a bridal shower now... yay.

day 13 - text post

Day 13. At chilis with friends. Not sure when i will be home. We are talking about squirrels. Yay girls night! Work was slow all week - glad its over :) bye!

day 12 - blah

I made a handwritten post at work and I am too lazy to scan it. It was about how I had nothing to do and we didn't get enough mail and I was tired of playing Hearts/Minesweeper/Pinball all day. LOL.

I am home now and my stomach hurts. Meh.

day 11 - it's like i'm an adult or something

I made appointments today for the gynecologist and the eye doctor. I've never been to the former (which is ridiculous since I'm 26) and I haven't been to the latter in almost 6 years, so it was high time I did this. Of course this can be blamed on the fact that I had no insurance for like 4 years. Whoops.

Also, I just added a metric ton of items to my Urban Outfitters wishlist. I don't fit into any of their clothes but their apartment stuff is AMAZING.

day 10 - my inner teenager

When I was in high school, I shopped at Hot Topic. Not exclusively, but I had a few pairs of plaid pants and wore them proudly. Then I realized that Hot Topic was incredibly lame. Now that I am 26, I still see various brightly colored things at wherever I shop and I have to suppress the urge to buy them upon the realization that I no longer (and probably never did) look good in these things, not to mention they are not clothes that adults wear. However I went to Hot Topic today to buy a To Write Love On Her Arms t-shirt since TWLOHA day is this Friday, and I wanted to buy half the freaking store. Not even kidding. I did actually end up buying a Paramore shirt as well. I even still had some old Frequent Buyer cards, you know with the tombstones and whenever you spend $10 they put a skull stamp on there. I swear when I get paid on Friday I am raiding that store like nobody's business. GEEZE.

Work today was completely pointless. I hate days like that.

I didn't end up buying the new Switchfoot CD or the new Up DVD because I blew all my money at Hot Topic, haha. They actually had the CD but I can't justify buying a Switchfoot CD there, sorry.

day 9 - sahara

I am totally addicted to the song "Sahara" by Relient K. Their newest album came out a month ago and it is SO good, but that is the best song. It's a really great message about how even when we are at our lowest point, God is still with us and faith can keep us going.

Speaking of albums coming out, Switchfoot's new one comes out tomorrow. Definitely buying it! Also the movie "Up" comes out on DVD. One of my friends works at Blockbuster and already has a copy of it, and a bunch of us watched it last night after the fundraising dinner (which was awesome, btw) and it is SUCH a good movie. I can't wait to own it!!!

day 8 - boring

Today is boring. Went to church, went to Target, probably gonna take a nap. Tonight I am going to a fundraising dinner for my friend who is going on a missions trip. This post is lame.

day 7 - epic fail, epic win, and just plain epic :)

Last night after the pottery painting, I went bowling with a couple of the girls. When we got to the bowling alley, the craziest thing happened: I saw a girl I graduated high school with! Now keep in mind I went to high school ohhhhh 1200 miles away from where I live now. She had flown into town for a wedding and had seriously just gotten picked up from the airport. CRAZY!!! I've known this girl since elementary school and we were in girl scouts together and everything. So we called each others moms and talked to them, haha. Even though it was like 10pm.

The other crazy thing that happened is that myself and one of the other girls tied all 3 games of bowling!!!! LOL.

This morning was Buddy Break and it was a lot of fun. It is great to bring out my inner child once in a while :) OH, there is this thing that you sit on 4 seats and bounce up and down, and I thought that the 2 seats across from each other were connected, so I tried to sit down and bounce my friend since I weigh more than him, and not only did my fat self plummet towards the ground, but I totally just fell off onto the ground, flailing everywhere and such. It was hilarious. I ended up getting a wood chip stuck in my hand.

day 6 - fail

Work was exhausting today. We are rewriting (more accurately "writing in the first place") our department's Policy & Procedure, and how we're doing it is that each person writes up the P&P for what they're responsible for, I proofread it for various things such as details, accuracy, SPELLING AND GRAMMAR!!!!!, and then it goes to the team lead to get added and also she makes sure we make sense and/or didn't leave anything out. Some of my coworkers have very bad grammar which makes my job much more difficult than it has to be. Overall the P&P project is very tiring and fries my brain, especially when it's Friday and I just want to go hoooome.

The reason this post is called "fail" is because I tried to post from my phone earlier to see if a picture message would work, and it did not. Oh well.

I have a very busy weekend coming up, which I'm grateful for since most of the "busyness" is due to me having a social life for once. I have friends!? :) Just kidding. This is what my schedule is like, without going into too much detail:

Tonight: Girls night - pottery painting; was going to go to a carnival to see some improv and my friend play some music, but it's too far away and I'm tired.
Tomorrow: Buddy Break, possibly my friend's business grand opening, and definitely going to the carnival.
Sunday: New member class at church (more details in a sec), the actual church service, a fundraising dinner for my friend who is going on a mission trip. Maybe biking, I probably should since I haven't in a few weeks.

So as you see from my schedule, I have decided to join my church officially. I've never done that before, so I'm really excited! The thing with the church I went to where I used to live is that I went as a youth, so I only connected with the youth and never really got involved in much else. But now that I am an adult, I am connecting with people of all ages and doing a better job of avoiding the cliquey-ness that befalls many churches. It's still there, but I'm bouncing around enough that it's not affecting me too negatively. Anyway I can't wait to get involved in more stuff there.

I am going to call a lady on Craigslist about buying a bicycle. If that happens, I am definitely not going to my friend's business thing. I probably won't go anyway, haha. It sounds boring but I am happy for him.

day 5 - holy crap i almost lost!!!

Wow, just made it w/this post. Totally forgot to blog today. Not really anything to blog about though... just got back from a Bible study w/some friends and it was a very interesting car ride, haha. Um, I don't even know what to write about. Work was boring.

Oh, I've been watching the entire series of The Office lately... I'm up to season 5 and I just saw the episode where Pam and Jim got engaged. Aaaawww. :D

day 4 - not brr!

They fixed the a/c vent so I am not an eskimo anymore!!! Yay!

One thing I mentioned a couple months ago is that I had been considering becoming a youth leader at my church. I don't update this blog very often but I figured I should mention that at the end of September I finally did it. It's been good so far. Like I said, I had gone on a girls' conference as one of the chaperones. I'm really hoping I can be a good role model for all the kids, especially those girls. I've been helping w/the 6th grade girls small group, although this week I will be w/8th grade girls since that person isn't coming tonight. So I hope that it can be rewarding for both myself and the kids.

day 3 - brr!

Our office is freezing. The a/c is turned down way too low, plus the vent is directly on top of my desk so I am even more cold. Hence I have this comic tacked to my cubicle :) I emailed the maintenance people today to see if they can redirect the vent somehow because I kind of enjoy not having frostbite.

The book study was good last night! I am enjoying the book so far and the people at the study were all very nice. I was older than all of them though, but that's ok.

day 2 - reading!

I am very much not a reader, but this Bible study I've been going to is starting a small group on the book "The Shack", and I have heard tons of great things about this book, so I'm going. Not only will I get to read a book, but I will get to interact with people I haven't gotten a chance to get to know yet. So far it's a pretty good book - we'll see how this goes! :)

day 1 - I'm sick :(

I helped chaperone a girls' conference w/my church and it was a really great time! However I now have a cold that I am trying to combat in every way I know how... meds, vitamin C, fluids, and rest. It better not be anything other than a cold!

I realize this is not the most exciting blog post I've ever made, but whatever.

I have a friend who has done NaNoWriMo for the last 5-6 years and this year his little brother is also doing it. Aaawwww.
